I went to Philly this past weekend to visit Diane - it was an impromptu trip to get out of this City That Has Become Too Much - and we had a great time... laidback and introspective, lots of talk about where life has brought us... and lots of yummy food. Mmmm.

I also got to visit Infinite where I went to get all my piercings in college. For those not in the know or who have forgotten, I once had 8 holes in my ears: double lobe and helix in the left and triple lobe, rook and conch in the right. (see diagram for locationa)

Since then I've taken all but the single lobes and rook out and they've pretty much closed up - but lately I've thought about bringing some back. The lobes are easy enough to do - I would just need to get some gold studs for the re-healing. But the conch was what I missed the most, so on a 24 hour whim I decided to just go for it and get it re-pierced:

It's going to take 6 months to a year to heal, but eventually I want to put a hoop in it. I don't have any pictures of the old piercing with a hoop, unfortunately. I'm sure I have one inadvertently somewhere.

Maybe next I want a daith. Hmm...
